About Achievement Behavior Services (ABS):
Founded in 2015 by a team of dedicated BCBAs and LCSWs, ABS has been helping children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) build communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence for over a decade. We provide in-home and in-community ABA therapy tailored to each child’s unique needs.

About the Role

As a Behavior Technician (ABA Therapist), you will work 1:1 with a child in their home/community, following an individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) created by a BCBA. You’ll directly support progress in communication, focus, and positive behaviors.


Daily Responsibilities
  • Build rapport with students and engage them in structured, goal-focused activities

  • Implement ABA strategies (discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, reinforcement, redirection)

  • Collect and document session data and progress notes accurately

  • Follow clinical guidance from your supervising BCBA

  • Communicate consistently and respectfully with families, supervisors, and team members

  • 12 y/o – Fall: Mon–Fri 3:00–6:00 PM + Sat & Sun 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Forest Hills (11375)

  • 17 y/o – Mon–Fri 4:00–6:00 PM | Sat & Sun 1:00–3:00 PM

  • 6 y/o
    • 8/13–9/1: Mon–Fri 2:00 or 2:30–6:00 PM (Queens Library)
    • September: Mon–Fri 2:30–6:00 PM (SunnyBird afterschool)
    • 10/1 onward: schedule pending

Maspeth (11378)

  • 5 y/o
    • Summer: Mon–Fri 1:00–7:00 PM + Sat 9:00 AM–12:00 PM & 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
    • School Year: Mon–Fri 3:00–7:00 PM + Sat 9:00 AM–12:00 PM & 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Qualifications
  • Education in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology

  • Preferred: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

  • Strong communication skills and professional reliability

  • Experience working with children (especially with autism or developmental challenges)

  • Ability to document session data accurately and consistently
