ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Engineering of assigned area of glass fabrication
• Manage process related tooling in preparation for each
production run
• Trouble-shoot line operations
• Issue and revise drawing and process sheets as a result of
continuous improvement in the process.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement in capability
and/or scrap reduction
• Verify conformance of components to customer specifications
• Analyse weekly production results, identify deficiencies and
implement the necessary improvements
• Work with operators to reduce defects, increase throughput
and improve the products' dimensional capability
• Train operators how to safely and effectively operate plant
equipment and machinery

• Lead root cause analysis of failures and drive implementation
of corrective actions
• Originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for
determining the reliability of components and equipment
• Monitor the execution and effectiveness of the PM programs,
identify any deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as
necessary
• Provide leadership and technical support to cultivate a
proactive maintenance service department
• Utilize the equipment downtime database to identify trends
and premature failure issues, and implement corrective
actions to address and track progress
• Design, develop, and implement equipment changes that will
correct reliability, improve productivity, improve efficiencies,
and increase quality product yield
• Attend daily meetings to drive immediate continuous
improvement and compliance to productivity goals

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical,
Manufacturing or Electrical) or any equivalent technical
degree
• Six Sigma certified is preferred
Years of Experience:
• 3+ years in a Manufacturing Environment preferred
• PLC experience preferred
• Fluent in use of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Other Requirements:
• Experience with manufacturing equipment or assembly
lines
• Solid understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, Pareto
and other tools to improve and sustain production levels
• Proven understanding of tools, quality of product and
ability to implement improvements to operations
• Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be
required as workload or projects dictate, including
weekends and holidays

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office
Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
