FirstLight Home Care of Dothan

Job description

Earn Extra Income While Taking on a Part-Time Leadership Role!

Approximately One Weekend Per Month | Optional Weekday On-Call | Paid Training

FirstLight Home Care is looking for dependable, solution-oriented caregivers to join our rotating On-Call Team.

This flexible opportunity is perfect for individuals looking for supplemental income while taking on additional leadership responsibility within a growing home care agency.

COMPENSATION:

Weekend On-Call (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM)

✔ $275 per assigned weekend

✔ +$50 Bonus if you successfully manage the weekend without personally needing to cover a client shift

Optional Weekday On-Call

✔ $40 per weekday on-call shift (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

✔ +$10 Bonus for successfully filling all staffing needs without requiring additional management assistance

If Direct Care Is Needed

✔ Standard caregiver wages are paid **in addition** to your on-call compensation for any client care hours worked.

✔ Additional discretionary bonuses may be awarded for exceptionally challenging on-call weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the On-Call Team Lead, you'll help ensure our clients continue receiving exceptional care after normal business hours by:

  • Answering afterhours calls from caregivers and clients
  • Managing caregiver calloffs
  • Coordinating coverage for open shifts
  • Communicating schedule changes
  • Responding to urgent client concerns
  • Documenting calls and actions
  • Helping keep client care running smoothly
  • EVERY WEEKEND IS DIFFERENT:

Some weekends require only a few calls and minimal activity.

Other weekends may involve multiple caregiver call-offs, urgent client needs, and frequent communication.

We're looking for someone who stays calm, organized, professional, and solution-focused regardless of how busy the weekend becomes.

DO I HAVE TO COVER CLIENT SHIFTS?
  • Usually, no.
  • Your primary responsibility is coordinating coverage—not providing it.

However, in rare situations where all available caregivers have been contacted and a client still needs care, you may be asked to provide direct client care as a last resort.

Because of this, candidates must be willing to complete caregiver training and be capable of providing care when necessary.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

    ✔ Dependable and reliable

    ✔ Calm under pressure

    ✔ Organized and detail-oriented

    ✔ A strong communicator

    ✔ Comfortable making decisions

    ✔ A natural problem-solver

    ✔ Interested in leadership opportunities

✔ Looking for meaningful supplemental income

Caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred.

  • Why FirstLight Home Care?

You'll receive hands-on training, ongoing support, and the opportunity to become an important part of our leadership support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced caregivers, CNAs, former healthcare professionals, or anyone seeking flexible supplemental income while making a meaningful difference for our clients and caregivers.

If you're ready to take on additional responsibility and become part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you!
