Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the nursing department.
  • Help ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with survey preparation and regulatory readiness.
  • Monitor resident care to ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Support infection prevention, clinical documentation, and care planning.

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting required.
  • Previous nursing leadership experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, or similar leadership role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey process, and long-term care standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams while maintaining high clinical standards.
