Visiting Angels is seeking a new member to join our management team who will specialize in recruitment and onboarding!

Our Recruiting and Hiring Manager is a trusted and critical part of our management team with the main goal of seeking talented individuals, interviewing, processing applications and completing orientation/onboarding for new employees. Our Recruiting and Hiring Manager ensures that each individual we hire is qualified, experienced, eligible for hire and properly onboarded, to provide assistants to our clients.

Tasks Include:

  • Managing applicant appointments via a web-based portal
  • Interviewing applicants and processing their applications including background and reference checks
  • Completing orientation and onboarding for new caregivers
  • General phone and computer use
  • Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position

Other Office Duties May Include:

  • Excellent phone skills - all managers speak to clients, caregivers or other callers on a regular basis.
  • Providing information to potential clients, scheduling appointments for new client intake.
  • Assisting current clients with inquiries, schedule changes, general questions, etc.
  • Scanning / Uploading information and maintaining file systems in compliance with office policies and regulations.
  • Perform general clerical duties including correspondence, copying, filing, and distribution.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all employees, clients and referral sources.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other functions as deemed appropriate by the management team.

Working Hours and On-Call Needs

  • Rotating on call - Requirement - Includes weekday nights and weekends (managers each take 1 week on call at a time, so it would be approximately 1 week out of every month). Please note that most on-call work can be completed from home.
  • Some holidays on call
  • Office work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Required basic knowledge / skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel),and other systems essential to daily functions
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically – both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm and maintain a sense of humor in all situations.
  • Present a well-groomed image that reflects the professionalism of the business.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, delegate and accurately complete work activities within allotted deadlines while managing interruptions.
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal direction and/or supervision.
  • Ability to generate goodwill for the Agency with clients, family members, caregivers and referral sources.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to client service excellence.
  • Ability to lawfully work in the U.S.

Physical / Environmental Demands:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, climbing stairs and moving intermittently during working hours.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetic that enable these senses to function adequately to meet the requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to properly operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computer, printer etc.
  • Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, leadership team, supervisors, clients, family members, vendors and all business associates within or outside the Agency.
  • All of the above demands are subject to ADA requirements.

Benefits / Compensation:

  • $16.00 - $19.00 per hour - depending on experience
  • Employer paid health insurance available after 90 days of employment (employee's monthly premium is covered 100%, added dependents are out of pocket)
