Job description

SUMMARY:

Performs nursing functions to support and enhance the medical role in the treatment of consumers for withdrawal management

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and document physical and behavioral status of consumer and consult with physician/nurse practitioner as necessary.

  • Provide managed care organizations required clinical information to obtain authorizations in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Document services provided in a legible, timely, and individualized manner.

  • Document services provided in accordance with NET, CARF and licensing standards.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of ASAM, Subutex protocols, withdrawal management, blood alcohol content, accucheck, pregnancy testing and medication management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed in the State of PA (or DE, depending on the state you are applying for employment) and knowledge of medical and clinical requirements related to substance use and behavioral healthcare.

  • Three years' experience in a clinical capacity

  • Computer competence and proficiency required

REQUIRED TRAINING:

  • American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) level of care Certification (must complete training and certification within 45 days of hire)
