Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Nebraska. This role is ideal for a skilled RN who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
  • Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs, responding to changes promptly
  • Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
  • Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
  • Support and educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, and newborn care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska or compact state license)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous travel nursing experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR systems)
  • Advanced fetal monitoring certification
