Full Time; Exempt

Job Summary

The Club Manager will be responsible for proper management of all aspects of the Clubโ€™s sales, marketing, and day-to-day operations and activities. This person will supervise all department heads and work with teams to ensure excellent service is provided to members and guests. The Club Manager will develop sales goals and marketing strategies to achieve revenue objectives and will manage expenses through budgeting to achieve positive results. This person reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Leadership, Motivation, and Development: The Club Manager will demonstrate strong management skills and provide leadership and motivation to department heads and staff. This person will train staff and work with individuals on career growth and development.

Promote Sales Growth: In conjunction with department heads and sales staff, will develop aggressive sales and marketing plans and tactics for revenue generation. This person will motivate team to achieve goals. They will communicate to all Club personnel the importance of a continued revenue stream and will involve all personnel in generating revenue.

Financial Performance: The Club Manager will be responsible for each departments operating budget and will work creatively and cooperatively with each department head to control expenditures within budget. They will assure accounting practices are compliant with established accounting policies and procedures.

Membership Growth and Retention: The Club Manager will create and execute marketing programs to attract new members and retain existing members. This person will be a visible manager, interacting appropriately with all club members, prospective new members, staff, and vendors. They will be responsible for handling dissatisfied customers and monitoring attrition.

Food & Beverage Operations: The Club Manager is responsible for assisting with Food & Beverage operations (including alcohol sales) and ensuring the highest standards are maintained while supporting the elevation of the F&B program.

Events & Catering: The Club Manager will assist with Events & Catering focusing on the delivery of excellent service.

Grounds Maintenance: The Club Manager will be responsible for overseeing buildings, grounds and landscaping maintenance, general janitorial services, refuse, pools, courts, equipment, supplies, and maintaining physical, structural, and environmental compliance. The person is also responsible for maintenance contracts and leasing agreements.

Administration: The Club Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, staffing, training, supervising, conducting performance reviews, discipline, authorizing payroll/time off, purchasing, managing inventory, safety, and conducting regular staff meetings. This person will administer the Clubโ€™s policies and procedures in a manner that creates a positive, equitable, and inclusive environment.

  • Follow all safety and health guidelines as outlined by the company; and,
  • All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field;
  • Five (5)+ years leadership experience in club management or hospitality;
  • Five (5+) years of leadership;
  • Strong business acumen and sound fiscal management;
  • Budgeting experience;
  • Experience successfully growing membership and/or advancing sales;
  • Strong Food & Beverage background;
  • Experience overseeing or managing events, catering, banquets;
  • Experience promoting safety;
  • Valid driversโ€™ license;
  • Submit to pre-placement background check with favorable results; and,
  • Ability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Environmental Conditions and Physical Expectations:

  • Work with tools and equipment; and,
  • Must be able to work in both indoors and at outdoor venues that include a variety of weather conditions including hot or cold temperatures.
