Pay: $15-$16 an hour, depending on experience

Deerwood Country Club is seeking friendly and attentive Kids Club Attendants to help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for our members' children. As a premier private club offering a Carolina-style links golf experience set within a beautiful woodland setting, Deerwood features a meticulously maintained par-70 golf course, tennis facilities, a resort-style swimming pool, and multiple dining venues that create exceptional experiences for both members and guests. Job purpose
Provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children of club members and guests. Assist in planning and supervising activities while ensuring all children are cared for according to club policies and safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities.
  • Supervise and engage with children in age-appropriate activities, crafts, games and educational programs.
  • Greet families, build rapport with children, and create a positive experience that gives parents confidence in the care provided.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding activities, schedules, and any incidents or special needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the Kids Club, following all safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment, including toys supplies, and activity spaces.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events and themed activities for children.
  • Support other club staff as needed during events or high-traffic periods as needed.
  • Complete any required reports or logs related to attendance, incidents, or activities
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, energetic, and reliable, with a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working conditions
Work is primarily outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 40 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf's Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
