Registered Nurse Interventional Radiology

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing

Specialty: Interventional Radiology

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required

License: Current unrestricted RN license

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS

Must-Have:

  • 3 or 4 in scrub procedures experience in cardiac cath lab procedures
  • Cardiac cath lab procedure experience including balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, filter placement, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization
  • Interventional radiology procedure experience including stents, angioplasty, peripheral vascular studies, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Electrophysiology procedure experience including cardioversion and pacemaker insertion
  • EKG testing

Description: This position involves working in the cardiac catheterization lab. You will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating procedures. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. You will perform various cardiac interventions and manage hemodynamic monitoring. Call requirements include 8 weekdays and 2 weekends within a 6-week period. Weekend shifts are mandatory, including 2 weekends in a 6-week period. Floating to nearby facilities may be required. Interdisciplinary support includes various medical services. You will work with specialized equipment such as EKOS and CSI devices.
