Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience along with Critical Care, Cardiac Care, or ED background and EPIC proficiency.

  • Performs minimally invasive cardiac procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations

  • Performs procedures such as PCI, left and right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, rotablator atherectomy, and Watchman procedures

  • Utilizes vascular closure systems, ACT monitoring, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring

  • Provides procedural sedation monitoring and administration

Requirements
  • Active VA RN license or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • Critical Care (ICU), Cardiac Care (CC), or Emergency Department (ED) experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • EPIC EMR proficiency required with no exceptions
  • Must have no prior license or background hits
  • Must be able to pass fit testing; PAPR accommodations not available
  • Must pass EKG/telemetry competency test with 80% or higher score, no remediation available
  • Must complete 3 hours of required training modules prior to start date
Additional Information
  • Located in the Coastal Virginia region near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, offering access to hiking trails and over 20 waterways
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application for review and approval on a case-by-case basis
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
