Job Summary:
Methodist Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Electrophysiology Cardiology team. This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively with EP cardiologists to deliver high-quality care to patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a focus on continuity of care, procedural support, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and evaluations of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
  • Manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing EP studies, ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education on device management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor and interpret device data (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders) and assist in remote monitoring follow-up.
  • Participate in inpatient rounding, consults, and discharge planning.
  • Document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR accurately and timely.
  • Assist with coordination of care across the Methodist Healthcare system and referring providers.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
  • National certification as an AGACNP, or ACNP or PA-C.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of cardiology experience preferred; EP experience highly desirable.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time schedule with rotating inpatient/outpatient coverage.
  • Flexibility to assist with weekend daytime inpatient rounding
  • Rotation with weekday overnight phone triage
