Job description

    Telephone and internet device patients, monitor, retrieve reports on line and give reports to physicians
    Ensure new device implant patients are enrolled in a monitoring system
    Contact patients who have missed their scheduled device appointment/check and reschedule missed appointments
    Application and education of holter monitor to patients
    Edit holter monitor reports on software and give reports to physicians
    Return phone messages and answer pacemaker and holter monitor questions
    Use of EHR software to obtain and input information
    Communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, CMA, medical records and secretaries
    Back up both the holter and pacemaker systems
    Purge old records/documents and transfer to storage boxes
    Bill both holter and device reports
    Stock and order supplies for both the holter and pacemaker
    Offer assistance to coworkers when able
    Communicate effectively and interact with others, understand and interpret policies and regulations within the department and practice
    Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.

    Ability to read, write and communicate in English
    High school diploma
    Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
    Ability to recognize P Wave, PR Interval, QRS Complex, ST Segment, T Wave, and QT Interval
    Knowledge of basic dysrhythmias with the ability to recognize Sinus, Atrial, Junctional and Ventricular Dysrhythmias as well as Heart Blocks.
    Basic computer skills
    Knowledge of basic office equipment including copy machine, fax machine, telephone and postage
    Exhibit the values of respect, integrity, innovation and compassion
    Must be able to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with a variety of personalities
    Ability to relate cooperatively with all contacts including staff, patients and outside offices
    Pleasant telephone voice and etiquette
    Excellent verbal communication skills
    Certified Medical Assistant preferred
