Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Variable 10-Hour Shifts with Call | Start: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op, PACU (Phase I), and Phase II recovery settings across a 10-bed surgical unit
  • Care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric, including cases in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, OB, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Cath Lab
  • Prepare and recover patients undergoing procedures such as total joints, laparoscopic surgeries, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, C-section, cardioversion, and pacemaker placement
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 in Pre-Op and Phase II, and 1:2 in PACU
  • Fulfill call requirements including one weekday call shift per week and one weekend call shift per month
  • Float within the surgical department as needed and utilize EHR systems including Medhost and CQI
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II recovery
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
  • Proficient IV insertion skills
  • Ability to work variable 10-hour shifts and fulfill on-call obligations
  • Willingness and ability to float within the surgical department
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous travel nursing assignment experience
  • Prior experience in an acute, rural hospital setting
  • Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
