Interventional Cardiologist

A growing cardiovascular program is actively seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a collaborative team in a modern, community-based teaching hospital environment in Southwest Georgia. Leadership is prepared to interview immediately and move quickly for the right candidate.

This opportunity is ideal for physicians who want to focus on interventional cardiology without STEMI call or structural heart cases, while enjoying a balanced schedule and strong institutional support.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a collegial cardiology team supported by experienced cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and a well-organized cath lab. The role offers a predictable weekday schedule, meaningful procedural volume, and the option to participate in teaching without heavy academic pressure.

Practice Details
  • Balanced schedule: 50% clinic / 50% cath lab

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • No STEMI call

  • No structural heart cases

  • Call rotation: approximately 7 days per month, focused on medical/therapeutic cardiology

  • Opportunity to precept medical students and residents

Scope of Practice
  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures

  • PCI, cardiac catheterization, and pacemaker insertions
