Since its founding in 1991, the NonProfit HelpDesk (NPHD) has helped more than 2,500 nonprofit organizations throughout New York City strengthen their managerial skills and improve operational oversight, efficiency, and procedures. As a project of JCCGCI, a community-based social service agency, NPHD understands the unique needs of nonprofit organizations and works to empower them to serve their clients and communities more effectively.
The NonProfit HelpDesk (NPHD), a project of JCCGCI, is seeking a part-time, fully remote Program Assistant to provide technical, administrative, and programmatic support to the department. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in gaining experience in nonprofit administration and operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical needs of weekly Zoom webinars and virtual workshops.
  • Provide support before, during, and after webinars to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Communicate and follow up with webinar facilitators and presenters.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of department purchase orders.
  • Provide general administrative and program support as needed.
  • Assist with program communications, coordination, and other departmental activities.

Qualifications
  • Early-career professional with experience, education, and/or a demonstrated interest in nonprofit administration.
  • Strong general computer literacy and comfort working with technology.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and Zoom Webinars is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a fully remote environment.
  • Availability midday on Tuesdays is required.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work during evening hours.

This role Part-Time, approximately 3-5 hours per week and fully remote
Compensation: $24 per hour
