Job description


SUMMARY
Mortenson's BLUvera Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to build and lead a team, serving as the key contact for internal and external teams. Responsibilities include managing projects from concept to closeout, with knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the steel stud framing industry. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor their Project Team, driving the organization's expansion into self-performed manufactured construction assemblies. BLUvera leverages advanced design, engineering, and 3D modeling to deliver prefabricated construction products using DfMA principles. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
  • Allocate project estimates into the financial system and manage budgets
  • Approve invoices and provide financials and billings to accounting
  • Create monthly owner billings and oversee budget for trade partners and suppliers
  • Handle billings, contract management, and contract buyouts
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
  • Assign job tasks and facilitate career development
  • Approve timecards and provide ongoing performance feedback
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative
  • Assist with owner agreement reviews and resolve site concerns
  • Build positive relationships through frequent interactions and service
  • Execute change orders and obtain necessary approvals
  • Work effectively with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Lead by example, provide coaching, and manage team performance
  • Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
  • Manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum six years of construction management or related experience
  • Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projects
  • High level of detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel overnight on occasion

The base pay range for this role is $113,500 - $170,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
