Job Summary:

As a Web Project Manager at Rocket55, you'll own web projects from start to finish, serving as the primary client liaison from the moment a project leaves sales all the way through post-launch. You'll also manage a portfolio of ongoing monthly retainer clients, where frequent and direct client communication is part of the day-to-day. If you're someone who thrives on ownership, loves keeping multiple moving pieces organized, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get into the work, this role is a great fit.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from the moment a project is handed off from sales all the way through post-launch, owning the client relationship at every stage across both larger web build projects and ongoing monthly retainer clients. Client communication can be daily depending on the account.
  • Actively participate in the build process alongside developers and designers, including setting up page templates in WordPress, configuring blocks, supporting content entry, and conducting quality checks to ensure deliverables are built to spec and meet high standards.
  • Manage tasks, timelines, budgets, and deliverables across several projects simultaneously using project management tools, keeping everything on track and within scope.
  • Go beyond project coordination by contributing to strategic conversations and proactively identifying risks, with the confidence to have direct, transparent conversations with clients around timeline shifts and scope changes before issues escalate.
  • Attend internal and client meetings, documenting key decisions, action items, and next steps.

Requirements


  • 2-4 years of experience in website project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, including building pages, working with block-based editors, and supporting content entry.
  • Strong communicator with a client-first mindset, comfortable with frequent direct client contact and confident navigating difficult conversations around timeline, scope, and risk.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to take ownership of multiple projects independently, with the support of an internal team, without dropping the ball.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with the flexibility to adapt as priorities shift.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing both full web build projects and ongoing monthly retainer or support clients.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, SEO fundamentals, or design principles.
  • Prior experience with project management software.



Salary Range:

$55,000 - $80,000- depending on experience and qualifications.
