Job Summary
The Digital Content Strategist collaborates with team members to build and maintain assigned college websites by developing and integrating new functional elements of the CMS (Content Management System), troubleshooting layout problems, implementing code for unique page needs, and supporting the integration of APls and external tools into the system. The position is also responsible for training new users, assisting with support requests, administering user groups, permissions, and workflows, and assists in the development unique one-off websites to support college goals. Duties also include collaborating with team-members in social media, digital content, utilization of the KCTCS mobile app, and design to create solutions for college needs.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time
Job Duties:
Manage the top-levels of assigned colleges' web presence through planning, design, development, usability testing, writing and editing, implementation and maintenance. Oversee and lead content creation, content management and strategic use of the institution's public-facing websites. Consult with stakeholders and audience groups to evaluate and improve the experience of visitors to the websites utilizing innovative technologies. Serve as a liaison and leader to the college marketing teams and system office web services developers. Responsible for college specific web services ticket requests, reporting, publishing new pages on college sites, and creating google tags according to Google best practices. Works with System Office web developers to come up with new, creative ways to improve their college web properties.
Responsible for ADA compliancy of college web properties as well as governance associated with the content management system (CMS). This includes supporting the day-to-day operations of the CMS, managing content editors training, access permissions and determining workflow, leading the design and implementation of CMS features and user interfaces, partnering with technology teams on the development and testing of code, and fixing a wide array of content maintenance issues.
Provide direction and leadership to campuses, departments, programs and offices on their website, intranet and social media content; providing for training, education, and support for campus web managers, marketers and editors. Monitor data from the system web analytics tools. Serve as a coordinator working to articulate plans and solutions for accomplishing the goals and strategies outlined in individual college marketing and communication plans; recommending and prioritizing options and identifying innovative methods and technologies, including internal business solutions and content management.
Responsible for designing, coding and modifying college websites, from layout to function and according to specifications. Assists in creating visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation, supports the colleges with design, interface programming, layout, content implementation, and on-going maintenance of public facing and internal websites.
Provides troubleshooting, programming, code debugging, access, design change management, interface development, and compliance change/programming of web sites and provides user training. Provide technical project management including development support for web/digital properties. Provide technical support for KCTCS mobile app.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Additional Skills Requested:
High level of working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, content management systems, and other relevant technologies. Knowledge of responsive design. Ability to produce compliant, semantic web interfaces. Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks often with highly demanding time frames and adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to work collaboratively and produce results. Experience with OU Campus C# a plus.
