Burgess & Niple is looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team in Norfolk or Richmond, VA. This position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our local team and utilize their technical expertise to complete interesting and challenging projects.
B&N Water/Wastewater Project Engineer Responsibilities
  • Plan and design of water/wastewater projects
  • Projects may include designs of wastewater collection system sewers, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, booster stations, and/or studies of wastewater and water systems
  • Coordinate with B&N project teams, internally and externally
  • Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery process
  • Promote a positive team environment that enhances our exceptional corporate culture
  • Maintain quality control of services and deliverables

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Ecological Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required in Virginia; or ability to register through reciprocity
  • 8+ years of experience; Minimum of 5 years of related water/wastewater experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or hydraulic modeling software is a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment Project management experience a plus
  • Treatment process knowledge and experience is a plus
