Pre-Quotation Support:

  • Project Conceptualization: Lead the preparation of project layouts and work closely with the sales team to develop quotations by defining product quantities based on customer demands. Oversee and guide Project Engineers in gathering necessary information.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact with the Sales team and customers to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables throughout the project life cycle. Delegate communication tasks to Project Engineers as needed.
  • Preliminary Design: Direct the completion of preliminary design calculations, layouts, and drawings. Ensure that Project Engineers assist in executing these tasks efficiently.
  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation of documents to communicate and refine project concepts with all involved parties. Assign specific tasks to Project Engineers for support.

Quotation Support:

  • Product Determination: Lead the process of determining the appropriate products based on project specifications and prepare the bill of materials. Coordinate with Project Engineers to support this process.
  • Specification Writing: Draft EAE-preferred specifications for potential projects, delegating research and data collection tasks to Project Engineers.
  • Review and Compliance: Review all project specifications, ensuring that requirements are understood and incorporated by other engineering/manufacturing disciplines. Work with Project Engineers to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Site Meetings: Attend site meetings with customers to understand project needs and assign Project Engineers to assist with documentation and follow-up.

Project Support:

  • Design Stage Engagement: After receiving an order, lead the preparation of drawings, perform calculations, and gather measurements for field fit verification. Assign Project Engineers to assist in gathering necessary data and calculations.
  • Review and Revision: Collaborate with the Sales team to review customer redlined quotations and drawings. Direct Project Engineers in making revisions and ensuring accuracy.
  • Equipment Specifications: Finalize specifications and quantities for all equipment purchased by the client, place internal orders for buyout equipment, and specify delivery timelines. Oversee Project Engineers assisting in managing these tasks.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Monitor engineering schedules and communicate potential impacts on cost or cash flow. Ensure Project Engineers assist in keeping track of schedules and flagging issues.
  • Job File Preparation: Oversee the preparation and issuance of complete, concise job files. Delegate portions of this responsibility to Project Engineers for efficiency.
  • Contract Specifications: Lead the completion and issuance of applicable contract specifications with all relevant information. Guide Project Engineers in gathering and organizing this information.
  • Issue Resolution: Provide leadership in resolving internal technical issues and ensure Project Engineers assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the entire EAE USA team, EAE stakeholders, and ensure that Project Engineers foster friendly and effective communication within the EAE group, reflecting core company values.

Site Support:

  • Customer Training: Lead the provision of onsite customer training for the installation, testing, and maintenance of EAE Busway, while Project Engineers assist in setup and support.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to contractors and installers for the correct installation of EAE systems, delegating Project Engineers to assist in troubleshooting and onsite tasks.
  • Field Measurements: Perform or oversee field measurements for field fit pieces, ensuring that Project Engineers assist or train contractors under your direction.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, with Project Engineers supporting as needed.

Experience

  • 8-12+ Years as an Electrical Engineer in a role at an engineering firm (construction industry), electrical equipment manufacturer or similar
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline
  • 7+ Years Experience with Revit, AutoCAD Electrical or similar
