Position Summary


The Warehouse Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate receipt, inspection, and system entry of raw materials. This role ensures materials are properly documented, sampled, and transferred for quality evaluation, while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting ongoing warehouse and production operations.


This role operates at the front line of material flow into the business and is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, quality standards, and production continuity. The environment is both spontaneous and turbulentdaily activities can shift quickly based on incoming deliveries, production demands, and business needs. Workload may fluctuate between high-volume receiving periods and slower intervals requiring strong self-direction and prioritization.


Major Responsibilities/Competencies


  • Receive and inspect incoming raw materials against purchase orders and documentation
  • Accurately enter receiving transactions into the ERP system, ensuring data integrity
  • Coordinate and perform sampling of incoming materials for Quality Laboratory analysis
  • Label, stage, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Perform inventory management tasks, including cycle counts, adjustments, and reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage aged inventory, including coordination of recertification processes
  • Maintain organized and compliant receiving and storage areas
  • Communicate discrepancies, damages, or quality concerns to appropriate teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to receiving and inventory processes


Candidate Requirements/Preferences


  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role required
  • Experience working within an ERP system (beyond scan gun use; must be proficient in transactional processing, data entry, and inventory functions)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
