Position Description: Warehouse Receiving Clerk Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Receiving ClerkJob Type: Long Term PositionSchedule: Monday - Friday (Saturday is on rotation)Position SummaryThe Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records. This position ensures all deliveries are verified against purchase orders, stored correctly, and entered into the inventory system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.Verify quantities and product descriptions against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management.Accurately enter received inventory into the warehouse management system.Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (if certified).Maintain clean and organized receiving and storage areas.Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.Prepare documentation for returned or damaged materials.Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse personnel, and vendors regarding deliveries.Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous warehouse receiving or inventory experience preferred.Basic computer skills with the ability to enter and maintain inventory records.Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment after proper training.Preferred QualificationsForklift certification or experience operating powered industrial equipment.Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems (WMS).Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.Benefits (if applicable)Weekly PayCompetitive CompensationOpportunities for OvertimeSafe Work EnvironmentCareer Growth Opportunities $22.00 - $22.00 Hourly
