Spectra Gutter systems is seeking a ย Production Supervisor to join our team. ย The Production Supervisor ย is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned production areas, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of gutter materials. This role provides frontline leadership by coordinating production schedules, supervising employee performance, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational efficiency. The Production Supervisor partners closely with maintenance, warehouse, and leadership teams to minimize downtime, maximize productivity, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.ย 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved.ย 
  • Coordinate workflow, staffing assignments, and production priorities to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.ย 
  • Monitor production performance and adjust resources as needed to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.ย 
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees by providing training, performance feedback, and ongoing support.ย 
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment focused on employee engagement and continuous improvement.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.ย 
  • Promote safe work practices by verifying proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and addressing safety concerns promptly.ย 
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process and ensure finished products meet established quality standards.ย 
  • Partner with maintenance personnel to coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and minimize production downtime.ย 
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.ย 
  • Monitor scrap, material usage, and production losses while supporting cost-control initiatives.ย 
  • Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure adequate availability of raw materials, tools, and production supplies.ย 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment in accordance with company standards.ย 
  • Prepare and communicate production updates, operational issues, and performance metrics to leadership.ย 
  • Support company initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • ย High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, vocational, or trade school education preferred.ย 
  • Three (3) or more years of manufacturing or production experience required.ย 
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.ย 
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, quality systems, and workplace safety practices.ย 
  • Experience coordinating production activities and partnering with maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability.ย 
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ย 
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; ERP or manufacturing software experience preferred.ย 
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and manufacturing documentation.ย 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.ย 
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.ย 
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and perform repetitive motions.ย 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, moving machinery, dust, and elevated noise levels.ย 
  • Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
