Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift in Charlotte, North Carolina at our Presort Services facility.

Your 2nd Shift schedule will be Monday through Friday from 5:00PM to 1:15AM EST.

Your salary range is $56,000 - $70,000. You will be eligible for 6% annual field bonus.

You Are a Warehouse Production Supervisor. You will work with the team to meet the company's productivity standards and requirements. This helps our clients earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services. You will be under the direction of the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager. You will organize the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.

You Will:

  • Responsible for managing the production workers on designated shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Oversees quality function throughout the production area.Assures TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are always followed.
  • Assists Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations.Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.
  • Offers suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Background:

  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries).
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet, and email
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or current maximum allowed by your State.Walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
  • Based on operational needs you must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice.

Our Team:Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS. For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. Our national network of operating centers processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
