Job description

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location: Ogden, UT (on site)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Warehouse Operations Manager โ€” Sales & Marketing Operations is the inside-the-four-walls operator for the DC's Commercial Operations pillar. You report to the Director of Warehouse Operations and sit parallel to Braden Buckley (Customer Logistics & Transportation Manager), who owns the external-facing and transportation side.

Your mandate has two equal halves:

Half 1 โ€” DC Operations Infrastructure: Labor management, UPH (units per hour), cost per unit, facility maintenance, safety, and capacity planning inputs. You run the inside of the DC so the Director can run the outside.

Half 2 โ€” Sales & Marketing Warehouse Operations: Gift card fulfillment, custom corporate orders, PR boxes, influencer seeding kits, and event inventory. You are the warehouse's operational partner to the Sales and Marketing teams for every non-standard fulfillment request.

RESPONSIBILITIES

DC Labor & Productivity

  • Floor associate management: scheduling, training coordination, performance management
  • UPH tracking and improvement โ€” hold the team to measurable productivity benchmarks
  • Cost-per-unit reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

Facility & Safety

  • Day-to-day facility maintenance coordination
  • OSHA compliance and safety program ownership
  • Equipment (forklifts, dock equipment, racking) maintenance scheduling

Capacity Planning Inputs

  • Feed DC capacity data into S&OP planning cycles
  • Track labor capacity vs. projected order volume; flag constraints early
  • Coordinate with Inbound, Wholesale, and Direct lane supervisors to balance floor utilization

Sales & Marketing Warehouse Operations

  • Manage the fulfillment workflow for all Sales & Marketing special projects: PR boxes, influencer seeding kits, corporate gift programs, brand ambassador packages, trade show / event inventory
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Sales on timelines, quantities, packaging specs, and shipping methods for all non-standard orders
  • Maintain dedicated pick/pack area and inventory accuracy for S&M operational stock
  • Returns routing hand-off to Returns Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 4+ years in DC or fulfillment operations, with at least 2 years in a management role overseeing hourly associates
  • Proven track record managing labor productivity (UPH, throughput, cost per unit) โ€” you know your numbers
  • Experience supporting marketing, brand, or sales operations fulfillment is a strong plus (or strong desire to own it)
  • Familiarity with WMS platforms and basic reporting/dashboards

Skills

  • Hands-on floor leader โ€” you know when to be at your desk and when to be on the floor
  • Organized and detail-oriented for special project coordination (no two influencer kits are the same)
  • Clear communicator with both associates and cross-functional stakeholders
  • OSHA 30 certified or willing to obtain within 60 days

Traits

  • Steady under volume surges โ€” you've run a DC floor during peak and kept quality up
  • Service mindset for internal stakeholders โ€” Sales and Marketing will bring you complex, short-timeline requests; you figure out how to make it work
  • Continuous improvement orientation โ€” you don't accept "we've always done it this way"
