The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for warehouse shipping and receiving operations as well as shop material management, and general shop cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage team for shipping, receiving, organizing, and all warehouse operations
  • Coordinate with the tool manager and offsite construction manager for staging and transportation using 3rd party and in house curriers
  • Manage receiving of incoming materials for prefabrication
  • Coordinate with project managers and superintendents for delivery of materials purchased by the project site team to be used for prefabrication
  • Perform shop walks to ensure excess materials are removed from the warehouse
  • Standardize material shipping and receiving schedule and communication plan
  • Train offsite project managers, superintendents, and prefabrication managers on warehouse logistics related processes
  • Coordinate with site superintendents and general foremen for deliveries to the project site
  • Research more efficient ways to ship, track, log, and communicate
  • Supervise and assist in training of key warehouse positions and Material Handlers.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and organization -identify problem areas and efficiency issues.
  • Create and maintain a culture of safety with entire team

Qualifications
  • Relevant field experience
  • Must understand construction procedures, electrical tools and materials and shop management principles
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word/Excel/Power Point, Bluebeam and Smartsheets
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Some college preferred, HS/GED required
  • At least 2 years' proven successful experience in a supervisory role

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The Warehouse Logistics Manager is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Mostly office/shop based. Typical working hours for the Warehouse Logistics Manager may vary. Generally, Monday - Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach, they may be required to work longer hours, including some weekend work. Some travel may be required for training and coordination between project sites and satellite shop facilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the Warehouse Logistics Manager may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites (weather, noise, etc.).
