Location: Alabaster, AL Pay Rate: $18.00 โ€“ $20.00 per hour Schedule: 7 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM | Monday โ€“ Friday

Looking for Inventory Control Associate jobs in Alabaster where accuracy and teamwork keep products moving? This opportunity lets you play a key role in receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, and helping maintain an organized, efficient warehouse operation.

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This position performs inventory counts, researches discrepancies, updates inventory information, and works closely with warehouse and management teams to ensure product accuracy.

Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic computer and data entry skills required. Ability to accurately maintain inventory records and follow warehouse procedures.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of inventory control, warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or materials management experience preferred. Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities. Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies while maintaining accurate records. Previous experience operating warehouse equipment such as Cherry Pickers, forklifts, or pallet jacks is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Experience using warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, and inventory tracking software. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with warehouse teams and management. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse during the shift. Ability to lift, carry, and move inventory and materials as required. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including Cherry Pickers and pallet jacks. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Ability to maintain productivity while following all safety requirements.

Job Duties: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits. Verify inventory quantities, storage locations, and product accuracy throughout the warehouse. Research, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies and reporting errors. Enter, update, and maintain accurate inventory information within warehouse management systems. Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and relocating inventory as needed. Report inventory shortages, damages, and count variances to management. Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and organized to maximize inventory accuracy. Operate warehouse equipment, including Cherry Pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks, in a safe manner. Partner with warehouse associates and management teams to maintain inventory integrity and operational efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company policies and procedures.
