Job description

We are seeking a Inventory Control Associate to assist with the handling our media broadcast equipment and gear. This person will be responsible for the inventory receiving needs for NEP Rentals. This includes accurately tracking and documenting inventory, data manipulation, and reporting. This could be a good role for an entry level person with one year of experience in a similar field or capacity in warehouse inventory receiving.

This is a Full-Time hourly position, Monday through Friday 9am - 6pm onsite at our Grapevine, TX location. There will be some overtime as needed.

Key duties include:
  • Receives inventory POs and barcodes assets to enter into the R2 reservation system.
  • Creates product templates for all new equipment
  • Performs inventory cycle/physical counts for both serial and non-serial equipment
  • Receives parts & supplies that have been purchased
  • Create new inventory barcodes as needed
  • Coordinate the logistics for equipment repairs as needed for their warehouse
  • Retire/Dispose of gear in R2 as needed
  • Order expendables for orders in their warehouse as needed
  • Assist in the organization, layout, and cleaning of the warehouse
Requirements:
  • Must have a general understanding of inventory concepts and purchasing standards.
  • Experienced in vendor contact and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel/Word)
  • Commitment to following documented processes and procedures.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills to cope with a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and in a small group situation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in purchasing / inventory control position preferred
  • Experience with large data sets and reporting a plus
  • Knowledge of R2 software a plus
