Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee and optimize inventory control processes across the organization. In this role, you will help ensure accurate inventory levels, efficient stock organization, and smooth day-to-day inventory operations. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with hands-on leadership, enjoys improving processes, and can collaborate effectively across multiple departments to support operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, movement, and distribution of materials.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report on inventory metrics, including turnover, shrinkage, stock levels, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock movement data using inventory management systems, including SAP.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Quality to support demand planning, SKU optimization, customer claim investigations, and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage, organization, and material handling practices.
  • Support compliance with safety standards, inventory procedures, and best practices.
  • Train and support team members on inventory processes, procedures, and SAP usage.
  • Analyze trends, audit findings, and process gaps to recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the returns process, ensuring materials are handled properly and documentation is completed accurately.

Knowledge and skill requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in inventory management or supply chain management, such as CPIM or CSCP, preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience using inventory management systems, ERP, or WMS platforms; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Transferable experience with systems such as Oracle, AS400, or HighJump considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with Lean, 6S, Six Sigma, or project management methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to support warehouse layout optimization to improve storage efficiency, accessibility, and material flow.
