Job description

Summary: The position of Warehouse Automation Technician is responsible for performing service and installation work on all equipment including AS/RS, conveyor, racking, shrink wrappers, loading dock doors/plates/restraints, air compressors, etc.
We are currently seeking candidates for both Day Shift and Night Shift openings. Qualified applicants should indicate their shift preference during the application process.
Job Functions:
  • Maintain spare parts inventory for all equipment.
  • Provide monthly update of parts consumed.
  • Provide service and support to operations team in conjunction with contractor regarding preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on-site 100% of the time
  • Interface with operations team daily, providing daily reports and owning follow up actions.
  • Submit all paperwork in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a sense of teamwork within other maintenance department employees
  • Perform routine inspections and equipment repairs on all equipment.

Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Self-starter (the ability to work unsupervised)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar business software/applications
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with customers and coworkers
  • Team player
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience with electro/mechanical repair and troubleshooting
  • Previous experience with diagnostic tools and equipment

Physical Requirements:
  • Constantly positions oneself through stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in and around machinery for inspections and maintenance
  • Must be able to ascend and descend a fixed vertical ladder, up to 75' high, 10% of the time
  • Must be able to visually assess machinery in dark environments
  • Frequently moves toolboxes weighing up to 70lbs. Occasionally, required to lift or position heavier objects with use of rigging. Must have full mobility to safely rig equipment up to 1,000lbs
  • The person in this position frequently will require clear, concise, and active communication with others during manual operation of the machines
  • Work environment temperatures range from -10F to 110F

Additional Requirements:
  • Day Shift and Night Shift positions are available. Candidates must be available to work their assigned shift consistently, including weekends as needed.
  • Hours may vary (to include weekends) depending on needs of operations team, to perform scheduled PMs, and/or make repairs to system
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC
