We are currently looking for entry level Warehouse Automation Technicians to join our warehouse distribution and customer fulfillment center team in Wilmer, TX located 20 miles south of Dallas, Texas. What will you do?

Warehouse Automation Technicians are hired as members of a work team. Technician work teams are responsible for keeping the operation flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. Our technicians develop and demonstrate skills in the automated distribution operational processes, including operating equipment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, controlling processes from a computer, and maintaining accurate records and data. From the beginning, you will be getting involved, impacting situations, and influencing business-related problems. We hire you at entry level and you advance by demonstrating growing levels of various skills.

We are currently hiring for the following departments:

  • Automated Layer Picking System Equipment Owner (ALPS) - Responsible for resolving faults and troubleshooting losses on the equipment to ensure the Automated Layer Picking System (ALPS) department runs smoothly. This may include but is not limited to resolving twisted pallets, resetting conveyors, resetting crane errors, manually restacking products if a spill occurs.
  • Automated Guided Vehicle Equipment Owner (AGV) - Technicians who oversee recovering their equipment whenever errors occur as well as keeping their equipment at base condition. Recover any AGVs that error out, clean the AGVs, know when to take AGV out of service.

We are looking for individuals with the following skills:

  • Ability to own technical systems and processes

  • Experience operating manufacturing or material handling equipment
  • Strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Experience in Warehouse, Distribution Center, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Quality Assurance
  • Working computer knowledge
  • Warehouse management systems such as JDA/Blue Yonder/Red Prairie or SAP
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast moving environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Push & pull objects up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to work at heights & climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., on and around equipment
  • Stand, sit, and /or walk for long periods of time. Surface: Concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven surfaces), and equipment.
  • The ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, etc.
  • Twist bend at the knees, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach
  • The ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing hearing protection, eye protection, and foot protection, and the ability to respond appropriately to various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, fire, etc.
  • Operate a computer keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces.
  • Efficiently operate high speed-equipment
  • The ability to enter and work in enclosed areas.
  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold, generally in warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust and dirt.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Able to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Be willing to work any shift including some rotating shifts

Work Schedule:

  • Work schedule depends on the role and could include some combination of days, nights, or rotational schedules to support the business. Most work schedules are 12-hour shifts and include additional Shift Differential Pay to compensate for the extended shifts. Any changes to the work schedules will be communicated with advanced notice.

Schedule options include:

  • Fixed Day Shift (6:00AM - 6:30PM)
  • Fixed Night Shift (6:00PM - 6:30AM)
  • Rotating Day and Night Shift (rotating between day and night shift is every 2 or 4 weeks, based on department)

Starting Pay: $22.50 per Hour

12-Hour Shift Differentials: Range from $2.00 to $3.50 per hour, based on Work Schedule
