We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager (PLC / Automation) who has a strong electrical background, extensive PLC troubleshooting experience, and proven leadership skills. While electrical controls and automation are the primary focus, we're looking for someone who also understands the mechanical side of industrial equipment and can lead a skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
If you're the type of leader who enjoys solving complex problems, improving equipment reliability, developing technicians, and making a measurable impact on production, we'd like to talk with you.
About First American Resources

  • Supporting mechanical troubleshooting and equipment reliability
  • Driving equipment uptime and reducing downtime
  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions
  • Managing maintenance priorities while supporting production needs
  • Planning equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
  • Maintaining electrical safety and OSHA compliance
  • Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations to improve plant performance
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Strong background in industrial electrical systems
  • Extensive PLC troubleshooting and programming experience (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Experience with HMI systems and industrial controls
  • Mechanical maintenance knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to lead by example and work alongside technicians when needed
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing maintenance management experience
  • Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Experience with Ignition, Wonderware, or similar systems
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience
  • Experience with industrial networking and automation systems
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
  • Schedule work assignments and prioritize maintenance activities
  • Conduct performance coaching and employee development
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with production leadership to maximize equipment reliability
Why You'll Love This Role
? Lead a skilled maintenance team
? High visibility and ownership
? Influence plant performance and equipment reliability
? Hands-on technical leadership
? Opportunity to modernize equipment and automation
? Stable manufacturing company with nearly 50 years of success

  • Manufacturing facility
  • Combination of office and production floor
  • On-call support as needed

About You
You enjoy solving problems that others can't.
You understand that good maintenance isn't just fixing equipment-it's preventing failures before they happen.
You're comfortable working with PLCs one minute, coaching technicians the next, and partnering with operations to improve production every day.
