Job Summary
Role Overview:
As an SAP EWM Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP EWM solutions while also contributing to the development of custom enhancements in SAP. This hybrid role requires both functional knowledge to support business processes and technical expertise in ABAP to develop and integrate custom solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT departments to ensure seamless EWM implementations and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EWM solutions for warehouse and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, providing best practice solutions for warehouse management.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SAP EWM implementations.
• Customize and enhance SAP EWM functionality using ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, and related technologies.
• Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules (such as SAP MM, SD, and PP) and third-party systems.
• Develop and implement custom SAP EWM solutions, including RF mobile transactions, warehouse processes, and automation.
• Provide end-to-end support for EWM-related processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, storage management, and inventory control.
• Perform system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP EWM solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP EWM processes and interfaces, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize and streamline warehouse processes using automation technologies such as robotics and RFID.
• Train and support end-users on SAP EWM processes and systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in SAP, with at least 3+ years focused on SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
• Strong understanding of SAP EWM processes, including inbound and outbound processing, inventory management, and warehouse automation.
• Experience in SAP EWM configuration, including warehouse structure, storage types, and strategies.
• Solid knowledge of ABAP development for EWM enhancements and custom solutions.
• Hands-on experience with integration of SAP EWM with SAP MM, SD, and other modules.
• Experience with RF device integration in SAP EWM environments.
• Proficient in developing custom ABAP reports, BADIs, BAPIs, user exits, and enhancements for EWM.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, including knowledge of embedded EWM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex EWM issues.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in SAP TM (Transportation Management) integration with EWM.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps and UI5 development for warehouse applications.
• Experience in working with automation technologies (e.g., AGVs, robotics) within SAP EWM.
• Knowledge of EWM MFS (Material Flow System) and experience in automated warehouse environments.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
