VP Sales Ops, Americas Supply Chain

About this Role:

The VP, Sales Ops has a primary focus in the development and execution of strategies and process improvements to drive superior sales performance, client retention, AE and BD productivity, resulting in lower attrition, less open territories, and double-digit business growth. This position is a key member of Supply Chain's Leadership Team and operates as a strategic business partner to the GVP.

What You'll Do:

  • Interpret global strategy for local, regional implementation. Designs, develops and leads implementation of solutions to meet business needs founded on a thorough understanding of business unit strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, and current and potential future business challenges
  • Lead and direct on-going support of operations activities, which include forecast, pipeline and quota setting processes. Engage in timely and consistent handling of month-end processes (e.g. demands, cancels, pushes)
  • Provide leadership to organization to achieve and exceed quota goals. Examples include creation of growth territories in conjunction with identified opportunity based on market knowledge and org design
  • Provide analytics and data that enables leaders to manage and grow their businesses and drive overall productivity improvements
  • Build TBVA relationships with key leaders; attend events and spend time with clients and prospects to drive renewals and growth and accelerate growth and retention of our largest accounts
  • Lead preparation and development of material for GBS GLT and regional ops; represent Supply Chain in key leadership meetings.
  • Dynamically lead sales strategy development and deployment throughout the Supply Chain sales channel; refine and deploy world-class sales processes
  • Mentor and coach RVPs, AVPs, and SMs effectively
  • Lead P&L optimization and planning
  • Work with the Sales Team and GVP to support ROE escalations and manage outcomes with variable comp.
  • Partner across the NCVI wheel by cultivating strong and mutually respectful relationships across the organization

Whatyou'llneed:

  • 15+ years business experience preferably in multiple sectors including technology end users, technology providers and government; clear examples of successful sales overachievement (sales management experience and training preferred)
  • Proficiency in developing, leading, and executing a global sales strategy
  • P&L experience; comprehensive understanding of sales operations, both systems and processes
  • Demonstrates high level of influence at senior level, negotiation & facilitation skills
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge in operations strategy, trends, issues and data analysis to deliver against business objectives.
  • Ability to "see past the numbers," apply creative concepts to devise solutions, and effectively present these concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience/understanding.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication skills and proven ability to drive teamwork
  • Strong relationship-building skills: Able to effectively partner with multiple teams and leaders to influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated abilities in project management
  • Ability to identify opportunities to simplify the seller experience by contextualizing key messages and connecting dots on common themes across NCVI partnerships

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 164,000 USD - 226,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
