Summary of Position:

The Vice President, Global Industry Engagement oversees all aspects of industry engagement, membership and certification delivery through the regions of North America, Latin America, EMEA and APAC, with direct oversight of the Senior Directors leading those regions and Senior Director, Certification.

This is a position of responsibility and leadership, representing AVIXA and the AV Industry at events and tradeshows, giving presentations and holding executive business meetings.

The successful candidate will also act as a key influencer in the development of product strategies for AVIXA’s customers around the world, and as a source of innovation and insight for the Association’s membership teams in all regions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind; deep knowledge of the AV/IT/Technology industry; proven organizational skills; a track record of achieving desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment; and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving organizational and market needs.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute global strategic plan for industry engagement in the four key regions and ensure efforts across the Association are coordinated, support strategic objectives, and are an effective use of resources.
  • Work closely with global Show Directors to ensure value from GIE engagement at shows to further enhance their strategies and the value contributed from community-powered events and programmes.
  • P&L responsibility together with forecasting and monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes in response to Industry and competitors’ changes.
  • Work closely with Global Business Development director to support research of new technology players and their optimum value to AVIXA and the Industry.
  • Oversee the optimization of Committees and Council programmes to maximise effectiveness and value both to and from Councils and member engagement to contribute to AVIXA product development.
  • Assess AVIXA Membership programmes and efforts to drive engagement and value
  • Data analysis to create yearly goals to grow reach and grow revenue; adjust strategy and output accordingly
  • Serve on Senior Leadership Team with others on the executive team to develop and implement major business and growth strategies
  • Work closely with VP Content Creation and VP Content Delivery in the research, assessment, reporting and evaluation of our products and services to ensure relevant, future-proof and valuable to the Industry and AVIXA.
  • Identify new Industry partnerships and our mutual value and relevance for programmes, content, education and tradeshows.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • BA/BS degree orequivalent required; MBA preferred
Experience Level:
  • Minimum 10 years of proven international leadership/sales/marketing/media executive experience
  • Deep experience across the Pro AV Industry/IT/Technology including supply side, distribution channel and vertical segment
Technical Skills:
  • Technology/audiovisual experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
Other skills:
