Forbes is seeking an entrepreneurial and strategicVice President, Audience & Community Marketing to lead audience growth, community engagement, and commercial audience strategy across the ForbesLive portfolio. Reporting to the Group Vice President, ForbesLive, this executive will play a critical leadership role in shaping the continued growth of one of the industry's premier live event businesses. As Forbes expands globally and launches new event formats across its flagship franchises, this leader will develop and execute strategies that grow audiences, cultivate engaged communities, unlock new commercial opportunities, and create exceptional experiences across both B2B and B2C events. The Vice President will define the long-term audience and community growth strategy for the ForbesLive portfolio while serving as a key architect in developing and launching new event platforms, franchises, and growth initiatives that will shape the next chapter of ForbesLive. Working cross-functionally with ForbesLive, Sales, Sponsorship, Editorial, Product, Marketing, and other key teams, this executive will ensure every ForbesLive event attracts the right audience, delivers an exceptional attendee experience, creates meaningful value for partners, and contributes to the continued growth and profitability of the business.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven track record of building and scaling audiences for world-class conferences, executive summits, festivals, and consumer events. They combine strategic vision with operational excellence and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where innovation, collaboration, and execution are critical to success.
Location: This role is a hybrid role based in the New York Tri-State Area. Domestic and international travel is required to support the ForbesLive portfolio, client engagements, and strategic business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Audience & Community Strategy
  • Develop and lead the audience strategy across the ForbesLive portfolio, ensuring each event attracts high-value audiences aligned with editorial, commercial, and brand objectives.
  • Partner in the development and launch of new B2B and B2C event franchises, creating new growth opportunities that expand and diversify the ForbesLive portfolio.
  • Expand Forbes' audience footprint globally through strategic partnerships and year-round engagement strategies that deepen attendee relationships, drive loyalty and repeat participation, and establish ForbesLive as an always-on professional community.

Audience Growth, Performance & Insights
  • Own the end-to-end audience acquisition strategy across paid, owned, earned, partner, social, video, and emerging channels, leveraging creative storytelling to maximize registration growth, attendee quality, and return on investment.
  • Develop and optimize audience lifecycle marketing across CRM, email, automation, and first-party data to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and repeat attendance.
  • Build a culture of experimentation by leading ongoing testing and optimization across audience segmentation, messaging, creative, offers, pricing, and conversion funnels.
  • Establish a data-driven audience operating model that leverages customer insights, predictive analytics, automation, personalization, and AI-powered marketing tools to identify growth opportunities, improve campaign performance, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen commercial results.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish portfolio- and event-level audience forecasts, registration goals, performance metrics, and dashboards that inform investment decisions and business planning.

Business Leadership & Commercial Growth
  • Serve as a senior leader within ForbesLive, partnering closely with the Group Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer on the overall growth and financial performance of the business.
  • Partner in the management of the ForbesLive audience P&L, overseeing audience-related revenue and delegate ticketing strategy.
  • Develop audience pricing and go-to-market strategies that maximize attendance and profitability.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Sponsorship teams to translate audience composition, engagement, and insights into greater sponsor value and new commercial opportunities, including premium experiences, community offerings, and emerging business models.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing audience and community marketing team while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

The Ideal candidate:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams while driving audience strategy, event marketing, community growth and commercial event management.
  • Proven success growing audiences and ticketing revenue for large-scale B2C and B2B conferences, festivals, media events, or experiential platforms.
  • Experience managing P&L performance and developing commercial growth strategies.
  • Deep expertise in multi-channel audience acquisition, CRM and lifecycle marketing, first-party data, customer analytics, experimentation and conversion optimization, and the use of predictive analytics, AI, and emerging technologies to drive growth and engagement.
  • Demonstrated success building engaged communities that extend beyond live events.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop people, communicate a clear vision, align stakeholders around shared goals, navigate competing priorities, and build strong cross-functional partnerships with executive leadership.
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to embrace change, evaluate emerging technologies and translate new ideas into scalable growth.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally in support of ForbesLive events and business initiatives.

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000
