In coordination with the Director of Consumer Experience, the Volunteer Administrative Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day office operations from inquiries, general office communication and all aspects of the application process including set up with the application, receiving back, reviewing, obtaining health records, and pertinent communication as needed. Facilitating background checks, communication to volunteer regarding status and working with the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator in scheduling interview/orientation and onboarding.  Maintains accurate records to provide timely reports regarding operations of the department. Over sees Better Impact daily activities- maintain record management and scheduling tools. Ensure office equipment is working and supplies needed are available. 

Escalate any issues that may impact the Volunteer department to appropriate department leadership, keeping Director informed.

In coordination with the Director, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator and Volunteer Growth Coordinator ensures that all departments are staffed with volunteers they have requested and that the resources are used effectively and smoothly. And maintains volunteer service descriptions for specific assignments and activities

Manage incoming communications in a timely manner for all volunteer services.

Gather feedback following volunteer shifts when the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator isn’t available.

Ensure safety protocols are both understood and followed by both volunteer program volunteers.

Promote, and communicate vision and goals of the volunteer program that are in line with the Cooper’s mission and goals.

Photograph all volunteer events and sharing photos with respective areas and archiving accordingly.

Perform other duties and responsibilities in carrying forward the mission of Cooper University Health.


  • 3-5 year's experience required.
  • Previous experience in a volunteer office or volunteer program.
  • Hospital experience plus
  • Customer Service experience a plus

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Membership and/or involvement with local, state or national volunteer association preferred.

Day shift, no evenings or weekends.
