R Responsibilities:
โ€ข Anticipate and adjust for potential impact
โ€ข Apply engineering principles to the design and enhancement of systems
โ€ข Document new system components, or modifications to existing components
โ€ข Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions
โ€ข Full life-cycle project management
โ€ข Lead, guide, and mentor less-experienced staff
โ€ข Perform engineering tasks/assignments in support of business needs
โ€ข Perform research, procurement, deployment, and configuration of systems
โ€ข Present clear, organized, & concise information to audiences to enable business decisions
โ€ข Provide input and make budgetary recommendations regarding staffing and equipment
โ€ข Provide technical leadership in architecture discipline & development of IT solutions
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned
S Specific Duties:
โ€ข Participate in on call rotation (as required) for emergency technical support and planned maintenance activities
โ€ข Install, configure, and manage VMware virtualization environments (vSphere, Orchestrator, Operations, Log Insight, SRM)
โ€ข Install, configure, and manage Cisco UCS environments (UCS Central, UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, B-Series servers)
โ€ข Install, configure, and manage Cisco HyperFlex environments (UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, C-Series servers)
โ€ข Provide support for Cisco and VMware environments; troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide root cause analysis
โ€ข Proactively ensure the highest levels of infrastructure and systems availability
Specific Qualifications:
โ€ข Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques
โ€ข VMware VCP or VCAP at an enterprise level
โ€ข Windows Server
โ€ข Linux Server
โ€ข Strong knowledge of programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python)
โ€ข Strong knowledge of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) administration
โ€ข Strong knowledge of networking and storage concepts (VLANs, Trunking, FC, VSANs, Zoning)
