Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a VMware NSX Consultant. The VMware NSX Consultant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to configuring, managing, migrating, and troubleshooting VMware NSX environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of VMware NSX and Aria Operations for Networks.
  • Oversee deployment and configuration of NSX, Aria Operations for Networks, and other network tools as required.
  • Work with customers to define business and technical requirements for NSX-based private and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Design and implement multi-site architectures, network provisioning, workload management, configuration management, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Lead technical discussions, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Integrate NSX with third-party platforms such as infrastructure, storage, networking, and security solutions.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, design documents, and best practices for NSX deployments.
  • Mentor junior technical consultants and provide guidance on troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Participate in pre-sales engagements, helping scope and position NSX and other networking solutions for clients.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • · Minimum of 5 years of technical experience with VMware and supporting technologies.
  • · Experience deploying, upgrading and managing NSX-T Environments
  • · Experience migrating NSX-V to NSX-T Environments
  • · Experience with deploying, managing and using Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI)
  • · Experience using Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI) to analyze network traffic and create micro-segmentation rules
  • · Experience with creating and implementing micro-segmentation policies for NSX
  • · Experience installing, configuring and managing virtual networks
  • · Experience installing, configuring and managing virtual load balancers
  • · 5+ years experience as a network engineer/architect
  • · Ability to work independently and remotely
  • · Excellent problem-solving skills
  • · Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • · Required Certification: VCP-NV
  • · Bonus certifications: VCP-DCV, VCP-CMA, VCAP-DCV, VCAP-CMA, VCDX-NV, VCP-VCF, VCAP-NV
