Cisco ACI Engineer - REMOTE
The Cisco ACI Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solutions. The role involves working closely with network architects, security teams, and cloud engineers to ensure a secure and scalable networking environment.

Must Have Skills:
  • CCNP (Enterprise or Data Center) or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Cisco ACI
  • Strong understanding of ACI fabric architecture, VXLAN, Spine-Leaf topology, and APIC controller management
  • Experience with Layer 2/3 networking (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, multicast, etc.)
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, REST API, JSON, YAML)
  • Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC), and security integrations within ACI
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9000 series), UCS, and data center infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, packet captures, and ACI logs
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience integrating ACI with VMware NSX, Kubernetes, or OpenStack
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SD-WAN solutions
  • Experience with ACI Multi-Site and Multi-Pod deployments
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage Cisco ACI fabric, including tenant policies, endpoint groups (EPGs), contracts, and application profiles
  • Configure and optimize ACI fabric, spine-leaf architecture, and ensure high availability and redundancy
  • Implement ACI contracts, filters, service graphs, and L4-L7 integrations with firewalls and load balancers
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform for network configuration and policy enforcement
  • Work with VMware NSX, AWS, Azure, or GCP to integrate ACI with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Implement Zero Trust Security policies within ACI and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Use APIC, SNMP, Syslog, and telemetry tools for proactive monitoring and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document configurations, and provide knowledge-sharing sessions for operational teams
