Job description

ProArch is seeking a VMware NSX & vRA Specialist to design, implement, and support VMware NSX and VMware Aria Automation (vRA) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network virtualization, cloud automation, VMware vSphere administration, and infrastructure automation. This role involves managing NSX networking and security, developing automated provisioning workflows, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage VMware NSX and VMware Aria Automation (vRA) environments.
• Configure and maintain logical networking, distributed firewall, NAT, VPN, and load balancing.
• Develop and manage cloud templates and automated VM provisioning workflows.
• Administer VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, and virtual machine lifecycle.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware infrastructure, networking, and automation platforms.
• Implement network micro-segmentation and security policies to ensure compliance.
• Integrate vRA with Active Directory, ServiceNow, IPAM, and other enterprise tools.
• Perform upgrades, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity planning activities.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support, incident resolution, documentation, and change management.
Requirements
  • 3-8+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure administration and cloud automation.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T and VMware Aria Automation (vRA).
  • Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, and virtual networking.
  • Experience with network virtualization, micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, NAT, VPN, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing (BGP/OSPF), DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience integrating vRA with Active Directory, ServiceNow, IPAM, or other enterprise tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, or VMware Aria Automation) are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
