Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Experienced Ansible Automation Platform Engineer responsible for managing and delivering enterprise automation solutions. The role involves platform administration, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD integration while collaborating across teams to ensure standardized and secure automation frameworks.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and support Ansible Automation Platform components (Controller, Automation Hub, Execution Environments)
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible playbooks, roles, workflows, and collections
• Manage code lifecycle (development, testing, promotion to production) using Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Build automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting
• Automate server provisioning, configuration management, and system connectivity
• Integrate AAP with REST APIs, ITSM tools, monitoring systems, and CI/CD platforms
• Support onboarding of automation use cases across multiple teams
• Implement secure, compliant, and scalable automation practices
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization for automation workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
• Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) – strong hands-on experience
• Ansible development (Playbooks, Roles, Workflows, Collections)
• Python scripting and Shell scripting
• Git/SCM tools (branching, merging, pull requests)
• Linux system administration (networking, storage, troubleshooting)
• Networking fundamentals (SSH, TCP/IP, server connectivity)
• AAP architecture (Controller, Automation Hub, Execution Environments)
• Containerization (Docker, Podman, Execution Environment creation)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• REST API integration
• JSON and YAML data handling
• Security implementation (RBAC, Ansible Vault, LDAP, SSO)
• Debugging, logging, and automation issue resolution
• Jinja2 templating
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments

• Windows automation
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
