Job Summary:

They are seeking a VMware Engineer to support systems in an enterprise environment, focusing on virtualization technologies and Active Directory management.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Directory
• Linux

Preferred:
• Knowledge of providing systems support in an enterprise, distributed environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in working with priority‐led initiatives and developing action plans for approval in a change management environment
• Experience with servers in virtualized environments. VDI a plus.
• Deep experience with virtualization technologies including VMware
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of scripting languages such as Powershell. Python a plus.
• Experience working with AD and LDAP services.
• Experience working with SSL certificate management
• Experience in monitoring tools, such as Solarwinds, for virtualization environment
• Familiarity of load balancing technologies such as F5 BigIP
• Basic understanding of cloud services such as Amazon Web Services and Azure technologies a plus
• Experience with self-service virtual resource management, such as VMware VRA a plus
• Experience with configuration management tools, such as Puppet and Chef a plus
• Familiarity with markup languages such as YAML and XML a plus
• Understanding of enterprise IT components and concepts involving network, firewalls, storage and backup systems.
