Contract Therapist

Part-Time: Hybrid (1099 Independent Contractor)

Job Description
AOC Outreach Services is seeking licensed therapists to join our clinical team for our outpatient therapy program that offers both in-person and telehealth counseling for children and adults. We contract both full-time and part-time therapists who hold different areas of licenses, including but not limited to LCSW, LPC, LMFT and others.

Under the direction of the Clinical Director of AOC Outreach Services, contracted therapists provide 50-60 minute clinical outpatient therapy sessions, develop patient discharge plans, conduct MCO/Insurance Panel client overviews, clinical reviews, and peer reviews. In addition to therapeutic treatment, our contract therapists are also expected to identify community resources relevant to the treatment and/or improvement of the well-being of AOC Outreach Services clients.

At AOC the initial and intended time frame for psychotherapy sessions is 50-60 minutes per session. However, therapists are able to adjust their session time frames to meet the clinical and psychotherapeutic needs of the patient. These adjusted time frames include 45-minute sessions, 30-minute sessions, and the minimal billable amount of 15 minutes or more. Each session start and end time are to be documented and noted in the progress note within the Lauris Online program.

Our licensed therapist participates in monthly and quarterly clinician meetings designed to discuss and address client needs, which are compensated at $60.00 hourly. As a contracted therapist for AOC Outreach Services, you will provide psychotherapy sessions on behalf of AOC according to your weekly/monthly availability. All in-person therapy sessions are booked Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm central standard time. Telehealth sessions can be booked Monday through Sunday between 10:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Virtual/telehealth services will be rendered using the Doxy.me platform.

Included responsibilities:

• Providing hourly sessions
• Virtual weekend sessions
• Completes required documentation, including psychosocial, CANS 1.0 assessments and treatment planning. Required documentation is due within 48 hours of evaluation.
• Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to clients
• Demonstrates commitment to the philosophy of the agency
• Clinical MCO and Insurance panel views of client progress calls with Clinical and Program Director
• Assist with discharge planning for client treatment
• Assisting with providing agency with treatment resources (accredited material) and community resources for client collaboration of care
• Participate in clinical and peer review calls with MCO

3. Ability to pass background check
4. Bilingual preferred but not required
5. Valid Texas State Driver’s License
6. TB Clearance
7. Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and weekends

9. ANSA Certification
10. CANS 1.0 Certification (Subject to change based on state requirements)

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have/be:

• Bilingual desired but not required.
• Possess a working knowledge of state and agency policies and procedures
• An active license from the state Texas Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed care framework.
• Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance use) with emphasis on children and adolescents.
• Strong clerical/administrative skills, including personal computer skills (Microsoft Office software).
• Ability to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of policy and procedures.
• Demonstrated oral/written skills in Spanish and/or English.
• Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgrounds in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.

Must have completed a master’s degree in Social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

One of the following licenses is required (must be fully licensed to practice independently without supervision):

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
