Position Summary
As a Tax Senior, you will be a key contributor to our tax department, handling both the preparation and review of various tax returns. You will ensure accuracy and compliance while helping to mentor junior staff and maintain strong client relationships. This role offers excellent visibility within the firm and a clear path toward management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Identify, research, and resolve tax technical issues, providing effective planning recommendations.
- Mentor, train, and review the work of tax associates to ensure quality, accuracy, and professional growth.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather financial data, address inquiries, and deliver updates.
- Assist team leadership with managing engagement deadlines, workflow distribution, and busy season tracking.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license or current CPA candidate actively pursuing the designation.
- 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting, with demonstrated experience in both preparation and review.
- Solid command of federal, state, and local tax regulations for business entities and individual filers.
- Proficiency with modern tax software and corporate accounting tech platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple client files and shifting deadlines.
