Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
Our organization is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions. This role involves guiding technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, .NET development, and modern front-end frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of features across .NET services and Angular, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Write and review production-grade code, enforcing coding standards and secure coding practices.
  • Apply advanced prompt engineering to direct AI tools for code generation, debugging, and refactoring.
  • Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers, providing code review feedback and supporting career growth.
  • Build, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure within Azure following approved architectural patterns.
  • Enforce testing strategies and lead quality execution, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Serve as the primary engineering liaison between the delivery team and the Software Architect.
  • Maintain expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, .NET roadmap, and AI tooling evolution.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
Experience: 7+ years of experience, including 2+ years as a technical lead.
Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level C# / .NET proficiency.
  • Deep Angular and TypeScript expertise.
  • Expert SQL Server skills, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on Azure DevOps mastery for pipeline authoring and release strategies.
  • Strong prompt engineering skills for directing AI development tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including resource provisioning and governance.
