Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $19 – $21 /hour. The actual pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

About You

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our patient care team, helping ensure smooth workflow, quality care, and a positive client experience.

Your Experience & Skills 

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant required
  • Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to teamwork
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Experience in vaccine protocols, and surgical monitoring preferred
  • Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures, terminology, and daily patient care
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and support the team in a collaborative environment
  • Must be available to work a rotating Saturday schedule

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

 

  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Supporting and advocating for pets while educating clients with warmth and clarity
  • Helping with patient handling, sample collection, and basic in-house lab testing
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and contributing to efficient patient flow
  • Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use
  • Bringing a positive, team-oriented mindset to support excellent patient care
