About JerseySTEM
All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.
JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.
Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization's gender-equity agenda.
Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K-12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

This is a pro-bono Unpaid volunteer position.
JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
Join our mission as a Human Resource Generalist to support the HR and Talent teams with planning, organizing and directing human resources activities in support of the mission of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Head of HR on human resources operations and develop and implement effective HR processes across the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between the HR team and the rest of the organization
  • Flexible hours, 3-5 hours/week, 6 months minimum commitment

Qualifications
  • 1+ years broad Human Resources experience with exposure to HR Operations Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort supporting a virtual HR team
  • Resourceful and creative
