JOB OVERVIEW:
As part of the Corporate Marketing Department, the Events Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of specialty and division-specific in-person and virtual events that support business objectives and align with broader marketing priorities. This role focuses on targeted, high-impact events designed to build brand visibility, drive thought leadership, generate leads, and strengthen client relationships.
The Events Manager will partner closely with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive event strategies, oversee project management, and support execution across both in-person and virtual formats, including webinars. The role also includes post-event analysis and reporting to measure success and inform future initiatives.
LOCATION: Hybrid (3 days per week in-office) is preferred in one of the following offices: Atlanta (Sandy Springs) GA; Chicago IL; or San Ramon, CA
But the hiring team is open to fully remote for well-qualified candidates with insurance industry experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
Event Management Best-Practice Development
- Create & refine event planning templates in alignment with event best practices and to facilitate understanding and interaction with internal stakeholders
- Develop scalable service offering to support webinars (e.g. Webinar in a box model)
- Create Know Before You Go (KBYG) process and documentation
- Maintain an event calendar
- Develop Event Reporting Dashboard/Template
Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute integrated event plans for specialty and division-specific initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and marketing strategy
- Define clear objectives for each event, including branding, thought leadership, lead generation, PR opportunities, and client engagement/retention
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify event opportunities and priorities
Cross-Functional Integration
- Ensure all events incorporate relevant marketing components, including branding, thought leadership, lead generation, PR, and client engagement
- Coordinate with communications, PR, digital, design, and corporate administrative teams, as needed.
Project Management & Execution
- Serve as the central project manager for assigned events, overseeing timelines, budgets, deliverables, and logistics
- Support implementation activities including vendor coordination, speaker management, content development, and execution
- Ensure a high-quality attendee experience
Webinars & Virtual Events
- Plan and manage webinars and virtual events with strategic rigor
- Collaborate with digital teams to optimize engagement
Post-Event Reporting & Insights
- Compile event reports summarizing attendance, engagement, leads, and insights
- Provide recommendations for future improvements
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of in-person and virtual event experience
  • Experience managing complex projects and stakeholders
  • Understanding of integrated marketing spanning internal and external communications (PR), digital
  • Experience with using PowerPoint and Microsoft Office suite, and creative tools Adobe Express or Canva.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Wrike or similar.

COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $85,000-$95,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
