Position Overview
Tekberry is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Faculty Programs and Events Coordinator to support faculty development initiatives within a prestigious university environment. This role provides event planning, communications, administrative, and financial coordination support for workshops, faculty programs, and special events hosted across the institution.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong event coordination experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic academic environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable coordinating both in-person and virtual events while supporting operational workflows and stakeholder communications.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Program Coordination
  • Plan and coordinate faculty workshops, professional programs, and special events from initiation through completion
  • Manage event logistics including:
    • venue coordination
    • catering
    • AV/equipment
    • travel and accommodations for speakers
    • event setup and breakdown
  • Coordinate onsite and virtual event support for meetings and hybrid programs
  • Manage registration processes, attendance tracking, and participant communications
  • Prepare event materials including:
    • agendas
    • flyers
    • signage
    • name badges
  • Serve as primary point of contact for vendors, speakers, program partners, and attendees
  • Track event budgets and program-related expenses

Administrative & Financial Support
  • Provide meeting coordination and notetaking support
  • Maintain and update event templates, checklists, and operational procedures
  • Assist with process improvements and workflow streamlining initiatives
  • Process vendor invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement card transactions
  • Support survey distribution and post-event reporting activities

Communications & Website Support
  • Manage communication schedules aligned with program and event calendars
  • Draft and distribute email announcements, reminders, and post-event communications
  • Compile program descriptions and materials for newsletters and departmental communications
  • Maintain and update website content related to events and faculty programs
  • Support digital communications using web and design tools

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, workshops, or professional programs independently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
